Welcome to Year 1.

On this page you will find information about your child's time in Year 1. We have also shared some songs and games you can use at home.

Information!

Hello everybody. You can now send us emails with any questions, work or little messages you would like to send and the Year 1 team will respond to you as soon as possible. The email is:

Please make sure the 'y' at the beginning is a capital.

PE

Our PE day is on Tuesday. Please make sure your child comes to school with the correct PE kit:

- plain white T-shirt 

- plain black shorts/jogging bottoms

- black shoes

Water bottles

Please make sure your child comes to school with a water bottle. Please pop their name on it so they do not get lost!

Spellings and reading books

We will be sending home spellings every Thursday for your child to practice, with a test on those words the following week. We will also be sending home reading books and will be changing these throughout the week. Please make sure you sign your child's reading diary so we can keep up to date with what they have read. We will also be trying to read with them in school, therefore your child needs to bring their reading book in every day.

Numbots

We will send home your child's login and password for them to play numbots. Which is a maths learning game. Please encourage them to play the game as often as possible.
