Meet the team

On this page you will find information about your child's time in Year 1. We have also shared some songs and games you can use at home. 

Please feel free to have a look around our area and have ago at some of the activities!

Information!

PE

Our PE day is on Friday Please make sure your child comes to school with the correct PE kit:

- plain white T-shirt 

- plain black shorts/jogging bottoms

- black shoes

Water bottles

Please make sure your child comes to school with a water bottle. Please pop their name on it so they do not get lost!

Reading books

We will be sending home spellings in your child's Reading diary, every Thursday for your child to practice, with a test on those words the following week. We will also be sending home reading books and will be changing these throughout the week. Please make sure you sign your child's reading diary so we can keep up to date with what they have read. We will also be trying to read with them in school, therefore your child needs to bring their reading book in every day.

Numbots

We will send home your child's login and password for them to play numbots. Which is a maths learning game. Please encourage them to play the game as often as possible.

Homework Journal

We will send home a green homework journal which will have number and letter formation sheets. These need to be completed weekly to support your child's handwriting. As the year progresses, we will then put in a Maths worksheet or an English worksheet to further support their learning.
