The aims of the Spanish Curriculum at St Laurence's CofE Primary School are to aspire to create an opening to the Spanish culture for all children to access. Our Spanish curriculum provides pupils with an engaging experiences that develop a range of skills. It gives children opportunities to cement basic skills and then build upon them in an exciting way. 

We aim to ensure that ‘all pupils understand and respond to spoken and written language from a variety of authentic sources; speak with increasing confidence, fluency and spontaneity, finding ways of communicating what they want to say, including through discussion and asking questions, and continually improving the accuracy of their pronunciation and intonation; can write at varying length, for different purposes and audiences, using the variety of grammatical structures that they have learnt; discover and develop an appreciation of a range of writing in the language studied’. 

Our curriculum calendar is as below and we have lots a fun as we work through our lessons. 

We have a great time learning Spanish in KS2 at St Laurence's. We use Language Angels to access engaging lessons which help us learn Spanish.
